Site Reminder

Hello and welcome to the York University Course Opinion & Statistics  website! We are glad that more people are becoming members! Please note that this website is still being developed, so please bear with us as we squash those bugs!  We are working towards having more courses in a variety of subjects as this site is for any person taking York University Courses (as local universities [ UofT and Ryerson?] take our courses as well, which is awesome!).

A message to first year science majors: The website now has most of the required courses for your first year degree (CHEM1000, CHEM1001, BIO1000, CSE1520, etc.) Hopefully this will help by giving you a smoother transition into your first year. We hope that this is very helpful, and as always, if you have a question, just ask! As we have opened a forum for first year questions 2012

P.S: If your interested in joining, please contact us at yorkucourses@gmail.com . And if you have not done so, "Like" our Facebook page! At the moment we are working on a course database so we are trying to bring that up to speed ASAP.

Site Update: Current Progress!                                    August 1,2011

Hi! It has been a while since we updated the home page as we are developing our site to enhance your experience. As our mission statement still holds as to have every possible undergraduate course listed on this website. Thus we are always trying to find people who can help us finish the mission.

Also, we REALLY recommend for people to be a member for this website for this is reason #7,  because if you were a member who have some textbooks to sell, place your Ad on your signature, and every time you post you show your advertisement at the same time. These way members who decide that they want course Z, can see that some members have the textbook for this course as well; thus you can decide what course you want AND hopefully get discounted textbooks! Thus another random reason to be a member on our website.

On our last note, we would like to say that we are close to our goal of reaching 100 posts BEFORE the beginning of the Fall 2011 session, so people if you have questions, or course you would like to give more feedback to, join our website and post it! We are currently at 62 posts!

As always we hope you found this website very useful in terms of getting a better understanding of the course! Visit our facebook page : http://www.facebook.com/pages/YorkU-Course-Opinions-Statistics/239197739438905 and spread it to your friends at YorkU! The more people visit our website, the merrier.

Enjoy the rest of your summer people, good luck everyone who are about to enter exams for courses in their summer session !

Site Update: Our official Facebook page has been launched!

Visit our facebook page : http://www.facebook.com/pages/YorkU-Course-Opinions-Statistics/239197739438905 and spread it to your friends at YorkU! The more people visit our website, the merrier.

And regarding our lack of postings, we are finally capable of posting course reviews as we don't plan on re-doing a course review due  to minor errors ( such as missing details: like no final exam for course X). Expect a post on ECON1000 tomorrow by 4 AM.

In addition, we have been getting alto of emails regarding questions about York University, all of which is the reason we opened up a thread on questions! Please do use it, as the contact page is for web site problems , trolls, tech issues, etc. Questions regarding courses should be left on the forums as the contact us page  only has 24 forms per month, and refreshes every month ( currently  3 left!).

Other then that, I hope everyone enrolled into the courses they wanted , if they didn't ( like some of us here) then keep trying because usually some people drop the course after a week into the course!

Enjoy  your summer

Site Update  on Course Profile Posting                        June 14, 2011

Did you know, Peter Mansbridg (host of CBC's The National) received an honorary doctorate from the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies.

We would like to tell everyone that we will be posting course profiles on a weekly basis, every Sunday. If a post comes up ahead of schedule, do not worry as we will still post for that Sunday as well. We hope that things will pick up by the beginning of the next month as we are still gathering information. our mission is to have a total of 100 posts by the beginning of the Fall 2011 session.

Welcome to the site

This site is going to be dedicated to answer questions regarding  York University Courses, and hopefully help you get a better understanding of the courses as (don't take this too literal) nothing beats a couple of  opinions from senior students.

Currently, you can view the posts , but to POST, you will have to be a member (which is free by the way). Hope this website will be useful!
